Lake Macquarie MAP catenary lighting in Australia- Project showcase from StrongLED
We are glad to express our gratitude to have let us get involved in this remarkable project with Lake Macquarie City Council and the designer Dr. Luke Hespanhol. Congrats for the launch successfully!!
"The Catenary" is one of the digital interfaces commissioned by Lake Macquarie City Council for MAP mima (https://arts.lakemac.com.au/Venues/Multi-Arts-Pavilion-mima/Artworks/The-Catenary), a cutting-edge regional venue dedicated to multimedia arts at Speers Point Park, Lake Macquarie, the first of its kind in Australia. The artwork consists in an interactive lighting system installed on 80 metres of catenary in the promenade leading to The Cube, MAP mima`s main building. The system operates daily, automatically controlled by a bespoke software system, which also allows for interaction by visitors via a smartphone interface.
